Attorney Bio
Jaye R. Lindsay is an experienced trial attorney and military veteran dedicated to defending gun owners’ rights and restoring Second Amendment freedoms. With over 13 years of legal experience, Jaye has litigated more than 100 cases, ranging from firearm-related defense and civil rights matters to complex medical malpractice and constitutional law cases. He has appeared in over 80 county courts across Illinois, as well as multiple federal courts.
Today, Jaye focuses the majority of his practice on helping individuals reinstate their FOID and CCL licenses, defending against firearm-related charges, and advocating for self-defense rights. As a lifelong gun enthusiast and decorated combat veteran, he understands firsthand the importance of protecting constitutional liberties and stands ready to fight for his clients.
Jaye earned his law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he served as a teaching assistant, citation editor for the Journal of Legal Medicine, and clerked for the Jackson County Circuit Court. He later pursued an LL.M. in Health Law & Policy to expand his expertise. Outside the courtroom, you’ll find him spending time with his three daughters, traveling, or at the local dog park with his pup, Dolly.
A Commitment to Service
Jaye’s dedication to defending individual rights is deeply rooted in his military service. In 2000, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Drum, NY, with the 10th Mountain Division Light Infantry. Following the events of 9/11, he was deployed to Afghanistan, where he participated in critical combat operations, including Operation Anaconda in March 2002. His firsthand experience with duty, discipline, and the defense of American freedoms fuels his unwavering commitment to protecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners today.
